Happy to get the blues!

Well known RTE sports presenter, Michael Lyster, will host Queen’s University’s annual Blues Awards Dinner tonight (Wed, 6 June) in association with Ulster Bank. Held in the University’s Whitla Hall, the awards will celebrate the sporting achievements of over 30 students who have represented the University at the highest level in over 11 sports. The GAA at Queen’s have had a tremendous year in terms of success and are nominated in all award category’s including the following:

Special Acheivement Award (Team): Ladies Gaelic Football, Gaelic Football and Camogie

Special Achievement Award (Individual): Caroline O’Hanlon (Ladies Gaelic Football)

Coach of the year: Brian Doherty & Kevan Owens (LGF), James McCartan (Gaelic Football)

Special Contribution to Sport: Paddy O’Hara (Gaelic Football)
